solve the system using substitution
4x - 3y= 8
2x - y = -1

Hi Mathew
here we go we have
4x - 3y= 8
2x - y = -1

from second equation we have
2x - y = -1
or y=2x+1 taking y to right side and 1 to the left side

put this value of y in the first equation we have
4x - 3y= 8
4x-3(2x+1)=8
4x-6x-3=8
-2x=11

or x=-11/2
Put this value of x in
y=2x+1
we have y= -10
